Guccio Gucci opened a leather goods company and small luggage store in 1921. It was located in his native Florence, Italy.
Within just a few years his lable had enjoyed much success. The sophisticated international clientele vacationing in Florence were flocking to Gucci's bottega, purchasing his collection of bags, gloves, trunks, belts and shoes.
Many of Guccio's clients were local horse-riding aristocrats which led Gucci to develop its unique Horsebit icon.
Today the Gucci brand is known world-wide and Gucci Sunglasses are a part of the sought after collection.
